First Friday - Art, Live Music and Food!

Art by Clement Lee

"Clement Lee, an expressive abstract painter, born in China, grew up in Hong Kong, lived in Brazil and finally settled down in the United States.
His style of painting reflects his unique background with energetic, gestural brushstrokes of Chinese calligraphy, the warm colors of Brazil and the looseness and boldness of the American Abstract Expressionism.

After a successful career in engineering and marketing, Clement returned to his love of art in 2006 and immersed himself in art studies at Portland State University and PNCA. His diverse interest in modern art contributes to his varied style, ranging from abstract to realism, from painting to drawing to collage. His painting style is influenced primarily by the bold, gestural style of Chinese calligraphy and abstract expressionism and the realism of the Bay Area Figurative Movement.

He and his wife now live in Pacific Northwest, in the beautiful city of Portland, Oregon." Clement Lee

Music by Doug Smith
