Tasting Room Open - Special Concert: Siempre La Guitarra

Today we are open from 1pm to 6pm. We are closing early at 6:00pm to set up for 40 attendees to enjoy a special in-house concert, presenting: Siempra La Guitarra.  The performers are local musician, David Tutmark on guitar, international concert guitarist, Alberto Cumplido of Chile, and special guest Gwen Franz of Seattle on viola. The concert starts at 7pm with two sets of 45 minutes each. This music will be incredible and seats are limited!  Please call the winery to reserve your tickets. 360-695-3363.

"David Tutmark is an guitarist actively performing in the Pacific Northwest. Known for his visceral yet polished style of playing he consistently delivers captivating performances of traditional and contemporary classical guitar.  Coming from a background in electric guitar and rock, David began studying classical guitar at Portland State University in 2008.  After earning a Bachelor's degree in classical guitar performance from PSU, David began a busy performance career, giving over 300 performances between 2012-2015  alone.  With over 10 years of teaching experience and vast performance experience David is excited to help you progress as guitarist and musician. All lessons are tailored to the needs of the individual student. David teaches with an emphasis on both technique and creativity." "Alberto Cumplido has lived in Santiago de Chile since 2000. He is the creator and director of the international guitar festival "Entrecuerdas", and he worked as a teacher at the Music School of the Arcis University (former SCD). Cumplido has performed concerts in Europe, Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and South America. Abroad, Cumplido has played with musicians such as Terry Butler, Juango Arrom, Luis Melero, Oriol Camprodón, Olaf Casimir, Otto Jansen, Gerd Wennemuth, Andy Mokruz, Manuel Figgue, Pepe el Marquez, Michel Veorbabeck, Danilo Piñeira, etc. In Chile with Rodrigo Alvarado, Ricardo Vivanco, Alejandra Santa Cruz, Marcelo Aedo, Claudio Gutiérrez, Cristóbal Rojas, Francisco Bosco, Italo Pedrotti, Frida Ansaldi, Rubén Cáceres, Angel Parra Emilio García, Antonio Restucci, Juan A. Sanchez, Jorge Bravo, Daniel Navarrete, Daniel Ramírez, Nelson Arriagada, Jorge Díaz, Ramiro Molina among others.

His music has been premiered in different stages: Contemporary Music Festival of the U. Católica and the U. de Chile. Also in concerts and festivals in Germany, Spain, Holland, France, Morocco, Switzerland, USA and Canada." 

"Gwen Franz has been an active classical violist and violinist in the Seattle area for many years as a chamber and studio musician. A regular extra player with the Seattle Symphony and the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestras, she also was a member of the Northwest Sinfonietta for six years and a concerto soloist with the Bremerton Symphony. Her extensive work in violin and viola include advanced degree studies at Indiana University, the University of Evansville, Michigan State University, and the University of Washington. Gwen has also recently been performing in other genres such as jazz and traditional world music with the string trio Douce Ambiance and Pearl Django."
